
Dr. Myers is a 1971 graduate
of Oklahoma State University school of Veterinary Medicine and has specialized
in cattle for the last twenty-five years. Especially interested in reproduction,
Dr. Myers passed the boards for the American College of Theriogenology
(the study of reproduction) in 1986, making him one of about 300 veterinarians
in the world to achieve this honor. He has been active in all types of
continuing education both as a speaker and a participant, and has continued
his formal education by taking college courses in writing, art and Japanese.
His experience in international export of cattle was highlighted by his being responsible for the shipment of American born feeder cattle to Japan for the purpose of finishing the animals in much the same manner as done in the Kobe region. Dr. Myers has performed thousands of Breeding Soundness Exams on bulls, and is frequently consulted in matters of bovine infertility. Dr. Myers was the first in the area to utilize ultrasound technology in cattle.
Dr.
Myers enjoys spending time with his family, all sorts of music, gourmet
dining that his wife does so well, and keeping up with his home team -
the O.S.U. Cowboys.
Dr Myers is also a dedicated fan of major league baseball. It is his hope that one of his children will move to a city with major league baseball, so that he can buy a season ticket and see as many games as possible. He also hopes to complete his second novel during rain delays & batting practice.
