Lifeline
Up to $34.25 a month off your internet bill on Tribal lands.
Lifeline is a federal benefit that lowers the cost of phone and internet service for households that qualify. The standard discount is up to $9.25 a month. On qualifying Tribal lands it rises to up to $34.25 a month — and the FCC's definition of Tribal lands includes former reservations in Oklahoma, which covers our Oklahoma service area.
The Junction Internet can apply an approved benefit directly to your bill in the seven Oklahoma counties where we are designated — Ottawa, Craig, Nowata, Rogers, Mayes, Delaware, Wagoner.
What the benefit is worth
Standard benefit
up to $9.25/mo
Available to any qualifying household in the United States, toward internet, phone, or a bundle of both.
On qualifying Tribal lands
up to $34.25/mo
The standard $9.25 plus up to $25.00 in additional Tribal support. It is one benefit, not two applications.
Both figures are federal maximums. The discount cannot be larger than the price of the service it is applied to.
What you would pay on Tribal lands
Our published fixed wireless prices, with the full enhanced Tribal benefit applied. These assume an approved benefit of the full $34.25; your own amount may be lower.

Who qualifies
A household qualifies if its income is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or if someone in the household takes part in one of these programs:
Anywhere
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Medicaid
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
- Veterans Pension or Survivors Benefit
On Tribal lands, additionally
- Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
- Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Tribal TANF)
- Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)
- Head Start (for households meeting its income standard)
A child or dependent's participation counts — it does not have to be the person whose name is on the bill.
One benefit per household
Only one Lifeline benefit is allowed per household. A household is any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address and share income and expenses as one economic unit. Two unrelated households at the same address can each receive a benefit.
Which addresses count as Tribal lands
For Lifeline, Tribal lands means any federally recognized Indian tribe’s reservation, pueblo, or colony, including former reservations in Oklahoma. The inclusion of former reservations in Oklahoma is why the enhanced benefit is relevant across our Oklahoma service area, rather than being a rare exception.
Eligibility is decided address by address, and USAC — not your provider — makes that determination. Check your own address when you apply at LifelineSupport.org, or call them on (800) 234-9473.
Where we can accept Lifeline enrollments
A provider can only apply Lifeline where it is designated to do so. The Junction Internet is designated in seven Oklahoma counties:
- Ottawa County
- Craig County
- Nowata County
- Rogers County
- Mayes County
- Delaware County
- Wagoner County
If your address is in one of these counties, we can apply an approved benefit to your bill. If it is outside them, we can still provide your internet service — we just cannot be the provider that applies your Lifeline discount, and you would need a provider designated in your area for that. Not sure which county you are in? Call us on 918.256.3186 and we will check.
How to get it
- Apply for the benefit. Apply through the federal program at LifelineSupport.org. You will need to show income or program participation, and your address is checked for Tribal lands eligibility as part of applying.
- Tell us once you are approved. Call 918.256.3186 or email lifeline@junct.com and we will apply the benefit to your account.
- Recertify each year. Lifeline requires annual recertification. USAC contacts you directly; if you miss it the benefit stops and your bill returns to the regular price.
You can take Lifeline to any participating provider, and you are not required to use it with us. If you already have a benefit on another account, it has to be transferred rather than applied twice.
